Tyler Harber is Vice-President and the Director of the Political and Public Affairs Division at Wilson Research Strategies.
Focus
With extensive training and experience in quantitative
and qualitative research, strategic communications, as well as crisis and campaign management, Harber is an
expert at developing winning strategies for both political and public affairs campaigns all over the world.
Prior to joining WRS, Harber was Project Director at Public Opinion
Strategies where he managed hundreds of quantitative and qualitative research
projects for domestic and international political and public affairs clients.
Harber's previous work experience includes serving as a Partner and Director
of Research for National Public Strategies, Senior Electioneer for
Southern Political Group, as well as campaign manager for dozens of candidates from
School Board to US Senate.
Harber’s political clients include some of the most competitive political
races around the world. In 2006, one of the worst years for Republicans in decades, Harber’s
team at Public Opinion Strategies helped manage the research and strategy for four winning U.S.
Senate races, six winning Republican Governors, 46 Members of Congress, as well as numerous down-ticket statewide and
legislative winners.
In 2008, Harber’s political and public affairs team at Wilson Research Strategies once again proved that they
could be successful in another tough election cycle for Republicans. Harber’s team worked on over 200 political
races, including 22 Congressional races, 21 Independent Expenditure Organizations and Campaign Committees
involved in dozens of races, and seven winning ballot measures. WRS also sent one of only a handful of
Republican freshmen to Congress while defending 23 incumbents.

and public affairs campaigns throughout the World. Harber has conducted research in countries with volatile political
environments including working in emerging democracies and hostile hot spots all around the globe.

Harber’s client list reads as a “who’s who” of political, non-profit and association clients around the world, having worked in some of the world’s “hotspots” including developing democracies in Eastern Europe.
Harber is WRS' agriculture specialist, serving as pollster for a number of key animal and crop agriculute entities including United Soybean Board and the National Pork Producers Council. As food costs increase, agriculture is fighting back to keep their market share and to fight increased regulations and influence of anti-agriculute organizations.
Energy is not a new issue to Harber, who has spent years providing research for fossil and alternative energy clients. Reality dictates the slow migration to alternative fuels; however, Harber's deep domain experience in both modes makes him a highly valued asset to energy organizations and companies.
Harber is considered a “war-time” strategist and tactician who is sought out for critical crisis management projects. He is credited with developing winning messages and plans for entities that require an immediate assessment and recommendations about their crisis.
With extensive training in medias of all type, Harber has helped clients build effective multi-modal programs that target key audiences, driving critical messages. He notes that, “the translation of data to useable strategy is the most vital of steps when building a political or public affairs campaign.”
Politics Magazine named Harber to the 2010 class of Rising Stars, a diverse group of political operatives and strategists under the age of 35 who have already begun to make their mark in poltiical consulting. Harber is one of only 15 Republicans to receives the award in 2010. Rising Stars were first recognized in 1988 and have gone on to serve in the highest levels of government and political consulting. Harber has taught at RNC sposored schools, the Leadership Institute, American University, and for dozens of other organizations.
Harber regularly appears on CNN, CNN International, MSNBC, and Fox News as a political strategist and pollster. Harber also appeared on Comedy Central's Daily Show during the 2008 election cycle.
