After working with the Heritage Foundation in a research capacity, Matt finished his degree in Government and International Relations, along with a minor in Comparative Politics, from George Mason University.

He has been active in Virginia politics, including having served as volunteer coordinator for a House of Delegates race. He has also worked with a variety of non-political organizations, including a multi-national electronics company and an industry changing health company in Denver,CO.
