
Alexander Brunk works as a Project Director for Wilson Research Strategies.
Focus
Alexander Brunk joined WRS in February 2008 after a stint working on a GOP presidential primary campaign.
Prior to that, he worked at all levels for more than a dozen political campaigns in the South, Midwest, and
Mid-Atlantic. With a background in grassroots politics as well as significant methodological training in
political science, Brunk brings a unique set of experiences and skills that gives WRS clients an edge in
developing and executing quantitative and qualitative research projects.
During his time at WRS, Brunk has conducted more than three hundred polls and qualitative research studies
for a wide variety of clients, including political campaigns, utility companies, business association groups,
and conservative nonprofits.
Pertinent Background and Relationships
- Serves as the internal project lead for many of WRS’s top political, corporate, and nonprofit clients,
overseeing all phases of polling projects from the initial research design to the final analysis.
- More than nine years experience in all aspects of political campaign management and strategy, including
grassroots organization, paid and earned media, and online activism.
- Managed a state legislative campaign in Pennsylvania in 2006 that won national attention from CNN and the
Wall Street Journal for defeating a ten-year incumbent Republican in the primary.
- Worked at The Leadership Institute, overseeing the
national campus field program in fifteen states that created more than 100 conservative student organizations.
- Maintains an extensive network of contacts in the conservative movement, serving on the leadership
committee for the Young Conservatives Coalition, and as a credentialed blogger
at the last five Conservative Political Action Conferences.

- Has lectured at The Leadership Institute's "Campaign Management" and "Youth Leadership" schools.
- Bachelor's degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA.
- Expects to complete Master's degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech in Spring 2011
