WPA Vice President Scott Migli was named pollster for Jim Gerlach in his campaign for Governor of Pennsylvania earlier this year. Today Scott is taking a temporary leave of absence from WPA to manage Congressman Gerlach’s bid.
WPA CEO Chris Wilson will take on the role as pollster for the Gerlach campaign and will handle most of Migli’s clients while Scott devotes his full attention to making Jim Gerlach the next Governor or Pennsylvania. “Congressman Gerlach’s success is so important to WPA that we encouraged Scott to make this temporary move,” commented Wilson.
Scott’s background working for the PA House of Representatives and as former Executive Director of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania made him uniquely qualified to help Congressman Gerlach in his challenge to win the Governor’s mansion back for Republicans in Pennsylvania.
In June, WPA conducted the first poll for Congressman Gerlach’s then exploratory committee. It was that poll as well as many other political and financial supporters that helped to convince Congressman Gerlach that his run at the Governor’s mansion was winnable.
“I want to thank Chris and the team for their encouragement. As a resident of Pennsylvania, this campaign is very personal to me,” said Migli. “While I will be taking a short leave from the firm, WPA will be directly involved in the polling and day to day management of the campaign and that to me is a real honor for our company.”
