For more than two weeks now, Obama’s new administration has encountered a significant amount of bad news regarding three cabinet-level appointees. For any other elected official, this news would make a dent in their national image or confidence scores; however, Obama’s popularity is cruising along unchanged as his honeymoon protects against these early misteps.
Recent surveys indicate that the American public actually have more confidence in Obama and his ability to manage the federal government since Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer withdrew their nominations.
One thought for Obama…enjoy it while it lasts. Soon, the American public’s patience will wane. Expectations for Obama to fix the economy and other domestic problems are too high to reasonably achieve.
