Obama “refining” his plans immediate withdrawl policy

Live on Fox News Channel on Studio B, Cristin Patti, Vice President of Wilson Perkins Allen Opinion Research, debated a former Democrat State Party chairman on Barack Obama’s recent comments on refining his Iraq War policy.  Pointing out the major policy shift on immediate withdrawl, she said, “He campaigned as the candidate for immediate withdrawl… Now he is flip flopping on the key issue that he campaigned on to the extreme liberal left.”

Cristin summarized her argument with the key point that the Democrat primary season has concluded and he is now shifting his views to reflect the recent successes in Iraq, not just what the far liberal left desires in a candidate.   The Fox News host agreed with Cristin that Obama is now muddling his message and his policy of immediate withdrawl.

The McCain campaign congratulated Obama for agreeing with Senator John McCain’s belief that the time line for withdrawl should be set by the circumstances on the ground in Iraq.  McCain has repeatedly said that removing the troops from Iraq will occur with ”victory and honor,” and will dictate his time line.
